Long time no talk again guys! Sorry for not posting again for what feels like in forever but I’m still trying to get to grips with things. But even though I haven’t been posting doesn’t mean I haven’t done a little shopping! I’ve had a little time to play around with the things I’ve purchased so I thought I would include a little first impressions review with them.
It’s no secret that I love BarryM’s Liquid Lipsticks and they’ve just launched 2 new limited edition shades so I had to pop to my Superdrug to get them. Unfortunately I could only get one Pinksplosion (which is freaking amazing!) and Pop Up which is already permanent. As you can see Pinksplosion is insanely bright and you all know how much I love my bold lips and it’s perfect, I neeeeed a back up asap, I never want to run out! Pop Up is also gorgeous, a slightly dark red with I’d say a little pink. Both have the same incredible formula as the others and they had a special offer on where you spend £7 and get their Limited Edition 35th Liquid Lip it free which was amazing.
This is their Lip Kit in the shade Blow Out, as you can see from my lip swatches (lip liner on top, lipliner and liquid lipstick on the bottom) the lip liner and liquid lipstick are completely different! I personally don’t mind that as they’re both gorgeous but I have seen people complain about lip kits from different brands when their lipliner doesn’t match the lipstick. It ends up being a gorgeous pinky mauve shade, a darkish nude if you will and I think a lot people will love this shade, so grab it whilst you can!
Onto a bit of skincare next, the new L’Oréal Hydra Genius for Dry & Sensitive Skin. My skin has been shit lately and I was really in need of a new moisturiser as mine tend to stop working with my skin after a few months or so. I was in Boots and just before buying this was considering getting the Clinique Moisture Surge as I’ve tried that before and was incredible but I couldn’t justify spending £35 on a 30ml tub. I’d already seen this advertised so when I came across it as I was walking out I was made up as it was on offer for just over £6 for 50ml! So far I like it, it’s calmed my skin irritation out (no idea whats causing it) but doesn’t keep it hydrated till night time, far from the 72 hours it claims. I’ll keep using it as it does make my skin feel lovely, I just wish my skin wasn’t feeling tight towards night time.
Of course, another liquid lipstick! In my defence Nip+Fab had an offer, buy one get one half price so I picked up a lippie to try! I’m not too fussed about this, the shade is Spice and stunning but it’s just so bloody sticky and I can’t stand it. So I don’t think I’ll be picking up any other shades, which is a shame because they have some stunning nudes. The thing I was actually after from Nip+Fab was their Foundation Lightening Drops for £12.95. I was considering these or The Body Shop but turns out you get a lot more for your cash with Nip+Fab , so glad I decided to go with these. These work perfectly, don’t change the consistency of your foundation or anything and now I can make all the foundations I have sitting around that are too dark match me!
Last thing is the Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Illuminating Fixing Spray. I’ve almost ran out of the I Heart Makeup Fixing Spray so I needed a new one! I do love that one so much but I am after a spray with more of a luminous finish because I have super dry skin. This is lovely, gives a gorgeous glow, takes away any powdery finish and keeps my makeup on all day. Highly recommend for just a fiver!
And that’s it guys! (I think, not sure if I’ve left any purchases out!) I’ve been doing more charity clothes shopping and a few bits from Primark which will be in a separate post.
Thanks so much for reading!
