If you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know that I love finding amazing bargain makeup and sharing it with you lovely lot. I think drugstore and cheap makeup can have a negative stigma attached to it and I’m here to try and prove that good makeup quality doesn’t always have to come with a high price tag. This time I’m reviewing eye & lip crayons from Miss Beauty that cost just £1 each. I recently did a review for some other items from this brand, a primer and highlighter that I loved! You can see this here.
After trying those beauts, I was very excited to receive these to try out. These are new releases from the brand and 100% Vegetarian and Cruelty free. But are they any good? Not really, no. Unfortunately I got along with the eye crayons the least, the lip crayons are okay. Before going in depth, lets see some swatches!
There are 3 available, Vanilla (an off white/cream), Cappuccino ( a light brown/pink) and Cocoa (a dark brown). These are all cream with a shimmery finish. The pigment is incredible and blend out like an absolute dream! You can wear these as a base or alone. Sound amazing don’t they! Only they crease after a few minutes of wear. I’ve tried everything I can to make them work but they just don’t get along with my eyelids. It’s not like I have overly oily eyelids either, I hardly ever have to use a primer because eyeshadow generally doesn’t crease on me. Save your cash and pick up the primer instead!
Next up we have the Lip Crayons which are a little better! Again, there are 3 shades, Strawberry Milk (a bright, light pink, perfect for spring and summer, Rose Cream (a light rosy pink) and Red Velvet (post box red). These are creamy but have a velvet finish, they’re not drying and last a decent amount of time. They transfer very easily but last through drinking but wont last you through eating.
Here are the swatches. Red Velvet is definitely my favourite, I’d happily repurchase this! Strawberry Milk has amazing pigment and gives a gorgeous pop to the lips but this shade just isn’t me unfortunately & won’t be wearing this. Last up is Rose Cream & the pigment on this is sucky. This photo is being kind, it doesn’t really show up on my lips in real life. Which is disappointing because it looked like a gorgeous pinky nude in the stick.
It’s a miss this time I’m afraid but like I’ve said before not every product from every brand is going to be perfect! I’ll be purchasing more from this brand and very excited to see what I find!
Thanks so much for reading!
