Monthly Edit | February

Finally a favourites! Don’t think I’ve done one for the past couple of months. I have to say these past few months have fucking sucked. With my mum having terminal cancer(thank you for all of your support and messages guys, I love you!), I was due an operation but that had to be cancelled due to me having the flu, my son being ill and having breathing problems, altogether I’ve practically lived in the hospital & doctors these past 4 weeks. Anyway, enough moaning, lets get onto the products. In case you’re wondering where the lipsticks are, I’m doing a separate February Favourites post, lip product edition tomorrow. I always have so many that I just thought doing a separate post would be better. What do you think? Lets get on with this months products then!

Screenshot_20170228-200028-01.jpegFirst up, The Body Shop Glazed Apple Body Spray. Scents can be such a comfort and calm me, which I’ve needed a lot this month. This spray instantly reminds me of Christmas (my happy time) and just instantly makes me feel that little bit better. This is just my calm/happy spray and as sad as it sounds I couldn’t be without it.

Screenshot_20170228-200526-01.jpegThis is my only makeup item in the list! This is the Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette. This has been raved about so much that I don’t even need to go into detail. Almost everyone owns it and everybody has heard of it. Although, I really don’t like this for highlighting the cheek bones, it’s far too much for me. I do prefer a glow not a glare but I do however love this for inner corner highlight. I know it’s a little odd to include this just for inner corner but I really do love a gorgeous highlight there. I’ve not used anything else but this for the inner corner and love how it makes my eyes look so crazily awake.

Next we have are a couple of skincare products. First, we have the Bravura First Cleanse Oil. I’ve been using this to take my makeup off and good god the feeling of my skin after is incredible. It takes my makeup off so easily, even waterproof mascara and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated, whereas usually it’s left feeling a little tight using Micellar water.

We also have the Pixi Rose Oil Blend. I did a blog post back a while ago called The Products That Ruined My Face, which included this product. It turns out that it was the Glycolic Acid in the Pixi Glow Tonic that fucked my face. I’ve tried other products with the same ingredient and my face reacted the same. So, I wanted to give this a go again. This mixed with my daily moisturiser before makeup is an absolute dream! It makes my foundation look literally photoshopped in real life. This is my Holy Grail now, I can’t be without it.

Finally we have Marshmallow from the new Frosted Cupcakes range by BarryM. This is so stunning, I can’t stop wearing it, especially matte. It’s so fresh and perfect for upcoming spring I just love it!

And that’s it guys, I hope you’ve all had a wonderful start to the year, can’t believe it’s almost March already! I’m already excited for Autumn haha.

Thanks so much for reading!

  1. lovely choices this month! I love how frosted cupcakes looks on your nails, it looks rubbish on my short ones so now I’ve grown them again I’m going to give it another go! love the absolutely fabulous trinket dish 🙂 xxx

  2. Yea, I heard that the Solstice highlighting palette gives a really intense gleam. I have highlighters that are like that but I definitely prefer to wear my more natural looking highlighters.
