bareMinerals Gen Nude Collection Review + Swatches

I’ve tried quite a few bits from bareMinerals and there’s not been anything I don’t love from them so far. Their lipliner from the Moxie collection is one of my favourites to date. I was lucky enough to be sent some products from their new collection and couldn’t wait to share!

Everything came in this limited edition makeup bag. This is material on the outside but more plastic on the inside, which I prefer as it’s easily cleaned. It looks small but it can actually fit a decent amount inside. Inside the makeup bag was a Radient Lipstick, Under Over Lip Liner, Matte Liquid Lip Colour & a Buttercream Lip Gloss.

The first thing that caught my eye straight away was of course the Matte Liquid Lip Colour in the shade JuJu. This colour is dark mauve pink shade, a perfect nude for any skin tone. Its texture is quite thick (in a good way), pigmented and smells incredible! It’s fully matte but not kiss proof so doesn’t last great when eating.

Next is the Buttercream Lip Gloss in Forbidden, a light nude pink. I bloody hate lipgloss, I hate the stickiness and the shine (you all know I love a good matte) but this pleasantly surprised me! It’s not sticky at all, feels more like a lip balm. It’s incredibly shiny (to be expected with a lip gloss) and smells amazing. I think i’ll give this to my mum as it’s just not me but a must try for lip gloss lovers.

Finally we have the lipstick and lip liner. The lipstick is in the shade Heaven which is a pinky brown. It has a demi shine finish so it’s not overly shiny but it is very moisturising. Lipsticks that aren’t matte don’t tend to last too long on me so I did have to reapply every couple of hours, especially after eating. The thing I love most about this product though is the packaging. It’s such high quality, very heavy an sturdy. I love it.

The lip liner is beautiful also, I have the shade Borderline which is more orange toned that the lipstick. These have a velvet finish, are pigmented and creamy enough to wear alone. I own another lipliner from bareMinerals and they’re both incredible.

And that’s it guys! I feel like bareMinerals are a very underrated brand but do some incredible products. They are by no means cheap, definitely on the high end price but completely worth it.

What do you guys think?

Thanks so much for reading!

    1. I’d say the liquid lipstick is, the formula is lovely and the lip gloss, it feels great on the lips. I do adore the lip liner and lipstick but they are pretty pricey and I’m sure you could find something similar at the drugstore ❤️ xxx
