£2 Dupe For The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge?

screenshot_20161228-130708-01Primark have been coming out with some fantastic little gems this year, I actually get excited when hearing about new releases. I very rarely see any blog posts about their beauty range, my guess is people either don’t know Primark do a beauty range or either think it’s shit because it’s Primark and cheap. They couldn’t be more wrong! (with some products anyway, some are shit, but the same with every brand)

I came across an Instagram post a while ago about these sponges and I’ve been checking my local Primark non stop to see if they were in and Boxing Day was my lucky day! I’d heard they were a dupe to the Real Techniques sponge and me being a bargain shopper, of course I had to try.

She was right! They perform the exact same as my Real Techniques, they leave my makeup looking flawless. The only difference is, they aren’t as soft & squidgy as the Real Techniques but the application and outcome is spot on. I did find that with it being less soft it soaked up less of the product too, which is always a win. It blended out my foundation, concealer, highlight and contour perfectly. It doubles in size when wet (i haven’t tried it dry as I never use beauty sponges dry) and I couldn’t recommend this enough.

Primark are stepping up their game with their Pro range, they’ve also released the ‘toothbrush’ type brushes (do they have a proper name?) which I’ve also heard good things about too. I’ve also fell in love with their foundation, a post which will be coming up very soon!

Thanks so much for reading! Will anybody be trying this out? Let me know!

      1. I love their liquid lipsticks! I have three of them as they didn’t have any other shades on stock when I went! I’m going to try and get the rest of the shades next time I go! Also the lip liners are great, the apply so smoothly and are so cheap! Haha no worries! I’ve not tried the oval brushes though, are they any good? Xxx

      2. Ooh I own them too, they’re brilliant aren’t they! Yeah I only have 3 too I think, they’re very hit and miss with their stock. I haven’t tried them from Primark, only a set I was sent. I’d like to pick them up to try but I don’t think I’ll get much use out of them because I prefer beauty sponges xxx
