Why I Haven’t Blogged In Ages.

Hi guys, it’s been a while hasn’t it! I don’t think I’ve ever had this big of a gap since I started blogging. And I’ve missed it!

Obviously it’s almost Christmas and life is busy which is one of the reasons why I haven’t blogged but there is another main factor.

Going on social media has just been driving me crazy recently. I see the same old YouTube videos, same old Instagram posts and the same old blog posts. This time of year it’s gift guides, everyday winter makeup look and winter Skincare. I’m sick of writing the same posts every single year. That’s why I’ve been doing lifestyle/diy posts to try something different but again it’s nothing I’ve not seen before.

I’ve been wracking my brain trying to come up with different ideas but with the stress of life and Christmas I’ve been one big massive brain fart. Does anybody else feel this way?!

I’ve been turning down reviewing products for companies for a while now (unless it’s something I love or really want to try/share) because I thought everybody would be sick of seeing reviews.

Hopefully I’ll get back into the swing of things and come up with new content I’m happy with soon!
Thanks so much for reading!

  1. I completely relate to this! I haven’t blogged in ages because of the exact same thing, I don’t want to just blog for the sake of it and not actually feel passionate about what I’m writing!

  2. Although i have just come by your blog i do enjoy a quality beauty review with quality photos which i’ve seen on your blog so far! I feel the same with November and December have just been hectic for me as I am trying to juggle so many different projects then take the time to myself to sit down and write a blog post. I feel llike everyone just tries to write trendy posts that everyone else has already written. A lot of bloggers have fallen into mainstream trying to act somebody different. idk thats how i feel. Great blog! I will definitely be followin. x

    1. Thank you darlin! And I’m usually the same, I love taking time out to blog but I’m just not happy with the content anymore. And I completely agree with you, the only thing that’s new anymore is who is the first to get their hands on the newest most expensive products to review. Xxx

  3. My advice is to write about what you love and not worry about making sure it’s content that people aren’t “sick” of. Because if you’re writing to make everyone else happy, there’s no point!! 🙂

    1. Thanks so much for the advice darlin ❤ but I’m just not happy with the content I’m posting. I want to stick with beauty but just do something different. I just don’t know what that different id yet! ❤

  4. I totally get where you are coming from. I decided to do a gift guide just because I haven’t seen my options as gifts featured on anyone else’s blog.
I love your reviews! You are really honest and you let us know if you really liked something or hated it. I appreciate that. Whatever you decide, I look forward to your posts!

    1. Thing is I totally get why people do it and they are very helpful! Guess I’m just a but bored myself of writing the same things, that’s all ❤ and thanks so much darlin, maybe after the new year I’ll have some fresh ideas or something haha. I miss blogging so much! ❤

  5. I know what you mean and I do go through that phase every once in while. But if you notice one thing, although the topics are the same, every blogger has got their own ways of presenting things with their own personality and style. That makes each post look different. If you are excited about a topic, just write about it without checking out how many blog posts already exist in that topic. this is one thing I keep telling myself and today for the first time I am sharing it with you coz I totally relate to your thoughts! 🙂 Hope that helps get your blogging inspiration back.
Last but not the least, would love it if you dropped by my blog as well : http://styleovercoffee.com 🙂

    1. Thanks for the advice darlin! ❤ that’s the only reason I tend to read posts/watch videos is because I like their personality. I don’t tend to worry about if other people have posted it as much it’s just that I’m bored of doing the same blog posts but with slightly different products haha. Thanks so much for reading darlin ❤
