A while ago, I did a little haul of a few beauty products (link here) and promised to update you all on how things were. A couple have made it into my favourites, some I don’t like at all and others my first impressions were wrong!
My favourite product out the bunch is the Sleek Precious Metals highlighter palette. This is an absolute stunner, as you can see from the photo, it’s very loved. I’ve used this every single day sine I purchased it! This contains 3 cream & 1 powder highlight. I don’t use the powder as I’ve seriously gone off powder highlights and it’s also a little too dark. Apart from that, this palette is pure perfection.
Another favourite is of course the Sleek Goodnight Sweetheart palette. I did do a full review & swatches here. The shades in here are bloody stunning, all pigmented and blend beautifully. It’s not often I use most of the shades in a palette but I’ve worn nearly all of these already, this palette is has some amazing combinations. Highly highly recommend.
Next up we have the lip products. First, my favourite is the MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer in Kooky (top right). This shade is straight up purple and a stunner! The formula is great and at just £3 is a bargain. Next up we have Primark Liquid Lipstick in Kiwi. The formula is a little drying with this but still such a stunning dark purple shade (bottom right). Last up we have the Makeup Gallery Matt Lip Colour, which is pretty much a dupe for the NYX matte lip cream. First impressions I said this wasn’t long lasting but for some reason since my first try it’s lasted so much longer! It stays on quite well (not as much as a liquid lipstick) but you won’t need to touch up whilst you’re out. For £1, you can’t go wrong.
Sticking with Makeup Gallery, this is their eyeshadow stick. I do love my shadow sticks, they’re easy to shove on and look stunning and even though it only cost £1, I had high hopes for this as I love a lot of products from the Makeup Gallery line. But this sucks. The colour is stunning and I need a dupe! But this creases like a bitch after about 5 minutes wear. Wouldn’t waste your quid.
The last product I purchased was this Eyebrow palette from B. Beauty. This was crazy cheap as they had a massive sale on and I’d heard good things about this brand (I’ve only ever tried a makeup sponge and micellar water from them). This is okay, I wouldn’t pay full price for it. The powders are nicely pigmented and the highlight is okay, I just don’t find myself gravitating towards it! I’ve only used it twice so far, it’s just nothing spectacular.
And that’s it guys, have you tried any of these products?
Thanks so much for reading!
