3 Drugstore Eyeshadow Palettes Perfect For Beginners

Makeup to me is like the universe, infinite. There’s new releases constantly by thousands of different companies, it’s like it’s never ending! If you’re a beginner, it’s hard to know where to start and can be a bit daunting. I know it was for me, I was like a lost puppy wondering around makeup stores and this was before colour correction and contour was a big deal so I didn’t have half of the stuff to learn like young girls do now.

Here is 3 eyeshadow palettes that I think would suit beginners perfectly, they’re cheap enough to experiment with but without compromising on the quality.

Makeup Revolution New-Trals vs Neutrals

This has to be one of my all time favourite palettes. The shades in this are incredible! They’re creamy, pigmented and blend like a dream. This was released last Autumn some of the shades are red/berry toned and others are just normal neutrals. These can easily be combined for a summer or winter look, perfect for experimenting with a bit of colour and finishes as this contains shimmer, matte and metallics. This is avaliable from Superdrug for £6.99.

Essence All About Roses

Essence are an incredible brand with unbelievably budget friendly prices. From their lipsticks to mascara’s I’ve yet to come across a bad product yet. This eyeshadow palette is one of my favourite product from theirs. These shadows are perfect for spring with some gorgeous pink tone shadows allowing you to create gorgeous looks for spring/summer whilst keeping it neutral. These are so buttery with a good mix of mattes and shimmers. This beauty is just £4 from Wilko.

w7 In The Buff

Last up is from a brand that is practically famous for it’s dupes, W7. This is meant to be a great dupe for the Naked 2 palette (which I don’t own so I can’t say personally) but from blog posts I’ve read even the quality is up there with Urban Decay and I have to say, it is pretty amazing! This has a lovely array of neutrals capable of day and night looks. This palette can be found all over amazon and eBay, as well as many stores. Prices vary, i paid around £5 for mine but i have seen it sell for more and less so make sure you do some searching around before purchasing to get the best price.

Thanks so much for reading!
