Ah it’s time for my favourite post! I’m a little late this month, it’s been so hectic with moving that I was a little behind on all my blog posts, I struggled to even get them out for the companies! But now I’m pretty much settled in, I can continue doing my own posts, as well as collaborations.
My first favourites are not new items but ones I absolutely adore. The BarryM Matte Me Up Lip Crayons. I have the nude (number 3) and the red (number 5). I’m pretty sure they have names but I can’t find them anywhere on the tube. Anyway, the formula for these are amazing. They’re not drying, they’re long lasting and the colours are gorgeous. I’m sure they’re only £4/5 which is amazing. I’m in desperate need of a new nude one as I’ve almost ran out. I think BarryM are best known for their nail polish but they have some incredible makeup items too.
Next is a body spray from Body Fantasies. I’d never heard of this brand until I saw a post on MissMakeupMagpie’s Instagram. So I popped into Superdrug and had a spray. In all honesty I really didn’t like the other scents but this one is so incredibly fresh and instantly reminds me of summer. I’m definitely going to be getting a few more as I’m really getting through this one quick!
I didn’t actually know whether I should include this one or not. The Makeup Revolution Fortune Favours The Brave Palette. I didn’t give this a very good review (can be read here) but I have been using it quite a lot! Granted it’s only been about 4/5 shades but if I have been wearing eyeshadow instead of a cream shadow I’ve gravitated towards this every time. I still stand by the fact that it doesn’t live up to the hype or Makeup Revolutions standard but I have used it a lot and have really loved the makeup looks I created.
Another palette now, this time from MeMeMe Cosmetics, their Ultimate Complete Contour & Highlight Kit (swatches here). I love this palette so much! Not so much for the contour as it’s too orange for me, but the highlight shades and the shimmer highlight shade. The formula in these are incredible! They’re literally concealers, they’re very full coverage and insanely brightening. I really don’t need a concealer when I’m wearing this palette. That shimmer highlight is stunning! It looks purple here, but its pink when applied and gives the most perfect glow to the face. This is worth the money alone for the highlights.
Last up is also an old item. I’ve had this brow gel for quite a while but recently I’ve really been loving using powder to shape my brows. But as this Illamasqua Precision Brow Gel in Awe is cream and is going to dry out I thought I best start using it! And I really have rediscovered my love for it. The shade and formula for this is incredible! It doesn’t budge at all, has the ability to look natural when applied properly and the colour is spot on. I think Illamasqua is a fantastic high end brand, I’ve loved every single item I’ve tried and I think they are easily over looked within the beauty community. They need more love guys!
That’s it for the beauty products! Last thing I’ve been loving this month is the tv shows 24 (I know, I’m a bit late to that party) and The Walking Dead. I have to say though, I really thought this season was pretty crappy. The finale was incredible and I’m excited to see Negan in the upcoming seasons but it was a total let down for me otherwise! What did you guys think?
Thanks so much for reading, I’d love to know which has been your favourite product of the month!
that eyeshadow palette is SO gorgeous! I’ll definitely have to check it out! makeupbykaila.com

I love round up posts! I haven’t managed to get the Fortune Favours the Brave palette but now I’m even more unsure because of the mixed reviews. Xx

They’re my favourite to do and read! ❤ and even though it’s in my favourites I still wouldn’t recommend it, Makeup Revolution do way better for less. Thank you for reading darlin! ❤ xxx

I find Illamasqua can be a bit hit and miss. I’ve liked most things I’ve tried EXCEPT their liquid eye liners (I don’t like being able to peel it off!) and their foundations.
Some of their eye shadows can be super pigmented but fade quickly, while others are amazing. That said, their lip products are awesome.

I’ll steer clear of the eyeliners haha, I’ve not tried them yet! Thanks for the tips darling!

I ordered the grapefruit body spray (and another one – don’t remember the name, but the bottle was purple) a few days ago. Can’t wait for my Superdrug order to arrive.
