September Favourites

It’s that time of month again! And it’s finally Autumn! I was already celebrating Autumn long before it came, so I’m so happy it’s come around!

I’ll start off with Skincare. I was lucky enough a few months back to win this Dermatique Recuperating Cream. It’s an absolute dream for people with dry skin. As the weather has been getting colder, my skin has needed so much more hydration and this has been a life saver. It also works perfectly as a primer! Check them out on instagram, this is going to be an essential of mine all Autumn and Winter.

Staying in topic with the weather, my lips have suffered big time. I’ve been poorly the past few days, so with the cold weather and being poorly my lips have been so dry. The Avon Cocoa lip butter has kept them well moisturised and managed to keep the flaking at bay. I have to admit it feels a tad greasy on the lips but it’s so nourishing!

Now, my favourite, Makeup! I mentioned this Stila eyeshadow in Pigalle before. It’s the perfect Autumn shadow, burgundy with a satin finish. So pigmented, easy to blend. It’s just amazing, I’ve used this whenever I was able to! It’s one of those shadows I could sit and look at forever.

Next up is the Smashbox Blush/Soft Lights Duo in Super/Model. It’s not pictured in the first one as I didn’t even realise it wasn’t there so here’s a close up for you! (and the Stila eyeshadow) The highlighter is my favourite thing about this duo, it’s not glittery, just gives a natural glow to the face. It’s so pretty! The blush is okay, I wouldn’t say anything special, the highlighter definitely steals the show.

Now is a brand new purchase, I’ve only just had it  week! But I’m in complete love with it. The BarryM Matte Me Up Lip Crayon in 3 (doesn’t seem to have a name). It’s literally the perfect nude and not at all drying on the lips. I wouldn’t say it’s completely matte though, but still gorgeous non the less. I purchased it for buy one get one half price at Superdrug, so go grab some if the offer is still on! I also picked up a red but have a sneaky feeling that will be in a favourites closer to Christmas.

A lovely lady on instagram @raychlovesbeauty, sent me the 3 Tanya Burr palettes. I wasn’t expecting much from them, as I don’t tend to buy into celebrity/YouTube hypes, but I was nicely surprised. Well, I think the shadows could be more pigmented, but that’s my only complaint. My favourite palette by far is the Galaxy Palette. The shadows are so pretty and creamy, they’re perfect for a light neutral eye. I have to say I don’t like the black shade as a pet peeve of mine is Matte shadows with glitter in. I can’t stand them! But the others are gorgeous and I recommend this palette over the others.

Last up is the Essence Lash Princess Mascara. I’ve done a full review on this, so I’ll not go into loads of details but this is my absolute favourite mascara ever. I’ve tried loads of high end mascara, including the Benefit They’re Real and this beats it in every way. Gives so much volume without it looking clumpy and it’s around £3 (can’t remember the price exactly). An absolute must have.

My favourite song of this month is Every Avenue/Saying Goodbye. Not sure if these guys are popular or not, don’t really keep up with music nowadays (I don’t think there’s been anything worth listening to for ages!) but these are an incredible band, go give them a listen! (if pop/rock are what you’re into).

Thanks so much for reading! And I do apologise for rambling so much, you all know how much I love these posts.

  1. Thanks for sharing all these! I’m a bit out of the loop right now with make up. I’ve been trying to find a decent mascara, and think I’m going to purchase a Lush one. Have you tried any of their stuff?
